People are planning all kinds of parties to bring in the new year. out of all the different ones I've heard of, the most unique is the pabst blue ribbon and pajama party.

Everyone has to wear pajamas to the party, its a big slumber party. Just in case you have had a little to much beer,you sleep it off there. no getting behind the wheel and driving home drunk possibly getting in an accident or getting arrested.

How are you going to bring in the new year?

My delivery driver called me from jail today. I was very surprised to hear from him because he was supposed to go home to spend xmas with his parents. He was apparently caught driving under the influence. Does that mean drugs or alcohol? with him it could have been either. most of you guys know him as the one  I wrote about in night of passion where he wrecked the womans car the first night that he met her. He is also the one that I caught smoking a joint behind the store. I did give him another chance and he has been doing well. this last week I had to speak to him about drinking, when he went to deliver flowers you could smell beer on him when he got back, plus he was slurring words he finally came clean and said lady I only had one beer. my only response to him was to be careful because he shouldn't be drinking and driving. Apparently he didn't take me seriously, As I said before he considers himself a party animal and leaves work to meet up with his friends to begin where they left off the nite before.

he is in jail on 10,000 dollar bond, so that means he needs to come up with 1000. He  said he had already called his parents and his dad is pissed. I told him that I would pray for him and thats it. naturally he lied and said he was not drunk but had just drinked a little nyquil so can't understand why he was arrested. thats what they all say.

My birthday was yesterday, was busy all day.My family took me out to dinner last night and that was nice. The service was terrible though, otherwise the food was good.

Its almost Christmas abd I am totally unprepared, My shopping For gifts need to be completed, my tree is up but still needs work. The only thing I am proud of is my outside decorations are a thing of beauty and the envy of the neighbors.I have the most beautiful candyland arch, santa and his reindeers and the grass is covered in carpet lights, I have two spiral lighted trees, angels blowing their trumpets and a lot more,I went a little crazy this year.

My kitchen is closed off with plastic sheeting because its being remolded, the work is a week behind and I am afraid that I might not be able to cook xmas dinner. the store is extra busy because of the holidays and I feel like I am coming down with the flu.

I want to wish everyone happy holidays now just in case I don't get back on till after xmas.

I am very upset today because when I opened the store this morning and went behind the counter everything was a mess, my cash register was open and paper tossed all over,  I knew that once again my store had been burgularized. after checking everthing else ,the point of entry this time was the bathroom window. even though that window was bordered up already, the board was ripped off and the window broken to gain access.

I only keep a sm. amount of money in the register, so not much was taken, just ransacked looking for more. I just thank God that they did't take the cash register this time.

I started to call the police and report it but what the heck, this is at least the 5th time and they heavent caught anyone yet. I had to much to do.They just ask a lot of questions, then they send the field technicians out to take finger prints etc. I had my husband come and fix the window and back to work, no time to worry about it.

Now that I am home and have time to think about it I just feel violated.

First of all I would like to thank all my tblog friends that have transfered tbucks to me.

I have a new customer that I would like to tell you about. he called the first time about two weeks ago. he wanted to set up an account to order white roses every 2 wks. for a friend that had recently found out that she had cancer and was going through chemotherapy. The first order was for 11 white roses for purity and 1 purple orchid for strength. the message was so long that I had to use a regular size card for it, you know how small florist enclosure cards are. I quoted him a price of 75.00, he said no problem. the nicest thing of all is that he is spending all this money and he wanted no name on the card.

I received another call from him today,this time he wants to send 10 white roses and two purple orchids, he still wants to remain anonomous. He said she called him wanting to know had he sent them, he told her no, also that if she called me to please not let her know it was him. he said the only other person that knew was her mother.

 He intends to do this the entire time that she is going through chemo.How often do you meet a person that is willing to do for another and not expect thanks or praise of some kind, not often.

I Would like to give you a little history of the building that my store currently occupys. I have been in this location for 9 years. Its in a beautiful location. I knew that the building was very old but i had no idea how old until recently. I was told that papers had been found that shows that it is 84 years old. I was shocked.

The store is very unique. It has been used for a lot of diierent things other than a flower shop. it was a grocery store A bee farm and thats all that i know of. There is one part of the store that really use to creep me out. everytime I would go into the storage room and look at the big deliberately dug out large circle in the middle of the room, surrounded by wooden logs.  I would have to walk around this circle to be able to use the room at all,needless to say I did't go in there very much. I always felt like it was used as a room to worship satan or something. After being there for awhile, I finally got mt husband to fill it in with bark and I have a big rug on that so i feel better when I have to go in there.

I had a visit from one of the owners that was giving me some of the history that he knew of. It sits on a large piece of property that was once occupied by a large cult like group that consisted of different families.when the current owners bought the building he said one of the building walls were all painted black with certain symbols. I asked him about the large circle in the middle of the floor and he didn't know but said some wierd stuff went on.

When I walk into the room now I just try to keep from falling because the rug is there but the floor is not level. whatever it was used for doesn't bother me anymore because I have just celebrated my ninth year there so I feel blessed and I know that God is in control.

I would like to report a theft. you know that we can purchase very little with our tbucks in the tblog store so I can't understand why everything that I purchased from them suddenly disappeared except for one thing the simple page border is the only thing left. What is my next move? Is rocky still around?

I recently gave most of my tbucks away because I figured that I had pretty much purchased all that I wanted from the tblog store, now I am starting all over. If anyone has tbucks to share please send me some.

Its that time of year when we want to decorate and brighten up our home for the holidays with color, whats better then a poinsettia or two.

The most popular are the red, called freedom red. The other varities are pure white,shades of pink and speckled. approximately 70% get there start right here in Ca. at the Paul Ecke ranch in Encinitas.

The colorful part of the poinsettis are really the leaves or bracts that form a cup around the plants tiny white flowers. they are not poisonous if eaten by your cat or dog.they will throw up, but thats how it is with most house plants. If they like to nibble on plants its best to keep them out of reach. If you notice when a leaf is cut or broken off it oozes a milky white sap. This sap was used by the ancient axtecs to treat fevers.

Place your plant in indirect sunlight for at least 6 hrs. per day.room temperature should be between 68-70"F. If you are confortable so is your poinsettia. water your plant when the soil feels dry to the touch If you are taking it somewhere as a gift or something,transport it in a large roomy bag to protect it. Finally it can be planted outside after the holidays.

Sugar in the morning, sugar in the evening, sugar at supper time.Its white,its delicious and said to be useless as nutrition goes. Do you know that we eat 130 pounds of sugar a year or 35 tsps. a day. We can't escape it, its in everything that we eat. Its in bread, soup, beans.pickles,vegetables,fruits and peanut butter. And don't forget all of the yummy desserts that we love to eat. Cakes, pies ,cookies and chocolate candy and one of my favorites krispy kreme donuts.

Its like being addicted, Its a craving for something sweet from 3 to 8 times a day. When we don't get our sugar fix then the trouble starts. On comes the sugar blues,sugar blues causes depression, irritability and lethargy.

So I know that they say Americans are overweight, that we have more diabetes and heart problems then other countries, but we have to much good stuff here and you need will power,and I am truly working on getting some as I sit here eating my bowl of breyers icecream mixed with my favorite brand of pineapple sherbert. I know its an addiction but thank God its only for sugar.

Help protect the enviroment by recycling your old cell phone for cash or store credit. Most sites that ask for cell phones are for the use of domestic violence victims to call for help if needed.That is a good thing.

Its said that millions of old cell phones end up in our landfills every year, leaking toxic material into our water supply. we can all make a big difference if we recycle. I know I have one or two lying around that I can start with.
