I have been keeping up with this story since it first appeared over the weekend. I am sure that most of you have probably read about it already.For those that heaven't, Last friday evening a man was relaxing in his living room when a hugh sink hole opened up, he fell in and was covered by the falling rubble, thank God his wife who is pregnant was in bed in another part of the house and was able to call 911, It was 2 days before his body could be recovered because when the recovery team entered the hole the earth was shifting so that it was unsafe for them to do so. Geologist were called in along with at least 100 recue workers. The paper said his body was finally recovered on Monday, he was a 32 year old school teacher. The most amazing thing is this was a home that was built in 1980.This happened in The Sierra Nevada Foothill, a place that was heavily mined for gold in the 1800's, so apparently this house was built over an old mine shaft, this is the only explanation that they can come up with that would cause a hugh sinkhole to open up in someones home. From the street it looks like any other house,but open the door an there is this hugh sinkhole, foundation gone. To me this is some scary stuff. think of it you are watching tv or on the computer as we usually are and the floor opens up. Anyway pray for that family, and be aware that strange stuff happens every day, pays to be ready.

I recently joined the BRG, budgie research group. This group was started by one of our fellow bloggers, Ryan Reynolds. it has to do with the study of pet birds, parakeets that don't just mimic what they here but are actually speaking in complete sentences, talking about God,  making jokes, even making predictions. Ryans pet Bird Victor was the firdt and apparently he started recording and translating what Victor was saying. I was fasinated with the recordings of Victor and the other birds ,when Ryan asked bloggers to join his forum even though I don;t have a pet bird I became a member. I have just enjoyed seeing the pictures of the other members birds and reading about their antics. lisiening to the recordings of the different birds is just amazing.
