My husband is being harrased about a credit card debt of nearly 5.000 that he knows nothing about, The card is from Direct Merchants.Even though he has written and camplained to numerous people about it, they continue to call. One time they called and I told the lady that they were calling the wrong person,she asked for his birthday, when I told her she said that definitely he was not the right person, apologized for the calls,and said she would get it straight within two days the calls started again. The final straw is he receive a letter from a fruad investigator stating that their investigaion was complete and it revealed that he was the one that the card belonged to, needless to say that he let loose some expletive deletives. I checked the company out on the internet and they have numerous complaints against them. Two days ago, they actually sent him a bill. The last payment was 200.dollars ,paid on the 5th of last month, so some one has been paying on the bill, when he called them today they admitted that this bill was originally being sent to northern Ca. and we live in southern Ca. Nothing has been resolved, but we are not paying someone elses bill.
