"Lets Say Thanks To Our Troops "
The mission of Let's Say Thanks is to provide a way for individuals across the country to recognize U.S. troops stationed overseas. By submitting a message through this site you have the opportunity to send a free personalized postcard greeting to deployed servicemen and women.
The postcards, depicting patriotic scenes and hometown images, were selected from a pool of entries from children across the country.
All you have to do is click on your favorite design and either select the message that best expresses your sentiment or draft a personal note. The postcards are then printed on the Xerox iGen3® Digital Production Press and mailed in care packages by military support organizations.
To date, more than 12,000 postcards have been mailed to soldiers. With the launch of www.LetsSayThanks.com, more soldiers can expect to receive messages from home.--Xerox is committed to helping people across the nation express their gratitude to our troops overseas. The launch of this program is aimed at reminding them how much Americans appreciate their service,
How Long Do You Hold a Grudge?
For Gods sake, will someone tell me how long do you hold a grudge? Its unbelievable the story I read in the paper today about a nurse anaesthetist who poisened a patient because she stole her boyfried in high school 30 years ago. The patient went in for plastic surgery and soon after the surgery she went into cardiac arrest and died a few days later.
Hill and Joyner were students at Olympic High School in Charlotte in the early 1970s. Joyner was a member of the Class of '73; Hill graduated a year later.
During a 2003 deposition given to the state medical board, Hill said she knew Joyner in junior high and high school.
"She was one of the judges of my cheerleading experience when I was in the eighth grade," Hill testified. Asked whether they were friends, Hill said no, but "I would see her and her then-boyfriend ... walk around school together because he was in football and she was a cheerleader or letter girl, something like that."
Joyner later married John Joyner; the two separated before her death. Police said John Joyner is not the boyfriend Hill believed was stolen from her.
The medical board blamed Hill for Joyner's death, calling her "grossly negligent" in administering fentanyl without the plastic surgeon's permission and for taking too long to alert the doctor that Joyner was having problems. The plastic surgeon took responsibility for the death in a 2003 agreement with the board but kept his license. Hill gave hers up.
Joyner's family filed a malpractice lawsuit against the plastic surgeon and Hill; the case was settled in 2003 on confidential terms.
In his 2003 deposition before the medical board, the plastic surgeon blamed Hill for the patient's death, calling her "a rogue nurse on her own wild mustang, riding through the West, you know, shooting whoever she wants."
Tucker described Hill's behavior on the day of Joyner's surgery as out of character: "She's flipped out. She's going nuts. She snapped."
Tucker said he reported his suspicions to the district attorney's office. It is not clear why it took until this year for Hill to be charged; District Attorney Peter Gilchrist has said only that his office asked the police department's cold case squad to take a look at Joyner's death after receiving new information.
"Hospital Mistakes"
Every time I read the news lately I am reading about another hospital mistake. Its very disturbing to think that you go into the hospital for a supposed to be routine procedure and end up with the wrong body part amputated or some instrument left inside by accident. I read last week that a mother took her child to the dentist for a routine filling and was given to much anesthesia and died. Two weeks later A young mother goes to the hospital to have a baby and ends up paralyzed. They gave her a painkiller 10 times faster than intended. They hope that the paralysis is temporary. It is up to us to take care of our selves when going for a procedure. This is a list of what we can do.This list is by:
HURT911.org

If possible, avoid using the hospital emergency room for routine medical treatment. Using the hospital emergency room physician for routine medical care will mean that you will be treated by a doctor who is not familiar with your medical history, possibly resulting in medical mistakes. If you do not have health insurance, check with your county hospital or other local hospitals to see if you can visit their clinic. Many hospitals have very inexpensive health-care plans (usable only in that hospital) for people who cannot afford health insurance.
If your doctor is recommending surgery or a course of treatment, obtain a second opinion from a specialist. If the first doctor recommending surgery is not a specialist, you should obtain a third opinion from a second specialist. Make sure that all doctors explain to you what the benefits are and what the risks are.
Make sure that a specialist does your surgery and that your surgeon routinely performs the type of surgery which you need (I even use specialists for dental work).
If you are having surgery, make sure that you fully understand exactly what will be done and that both your doctor and surgeon agree with your understanding. Do not be afraid to ask questions, even ones you think are silly. This is your right!
If you will be given general anesthesia for a surgical procedure, use a magic marker to draw a large circle or mark around the area to be operated on.
When having surgery, ask a family member or close friend to be there with you and to be your advocate.
People are familiar with the fact that most doctors specialize, but many hospitals are known for one or more specialties. If possible, choose a hospital that does a lot of the type of procedure you need.
Make sure that you tell all of your doctors about everything you are taking including prescription medicine, over-the-counter medications and supplements such as vitamins and herbs (some supplements can cause excessive bleeding after surgery). Suggestion: make a written list of all of these items and give a copy to each doctor.
Make sure to tell you doctors about any allergies and adverse reactions to medications. Suggestion: add these to your list.
Make sure that you personally can read any prescription you are given. Even pharmacists can misread a poorly written prescription and you should double check what the pharmacist is giving you.
Be sure that both your doctor and pharmacist makes you familiar with all side effects of medication you are prescribed. Be sure to report all side effects you experience, to your doctor and pharmacist immediately. For instance, if you experience muscle weakness while taking cholesterol reducing medication, tell your doctor immediately because this side effect can become serious.
Have the pharmacist orally review the written instructions on the label.
If you have a test, make sure that both you and your doctor receive and read the results. If the test is important, such as one indicating the existence or absence of cancer, consider getting a second test.
"Frustrating Day"
Verizon wireless has been a good mobile provider for me.I have been using them for years without problems. I finally worked up to the new every two phone deal. After checking out all the different phones an visiting numerous mobile forums, I decided that the pink razor was right for me, has all the features I want plus being my favorite color, pink.
I called and placed the order over the phone as I hate going and getting in that long line at the verizon store. It was shipped out, and I received it in two days as promised. I was as excited as a kid on xmas morning when the box arrived.
After having the phone for five days and charging it for the second time, it showed charge complete on the outside, when I opened it, it was completely black,I pushed every button possible, but it was dead. I called verizon, they said try this and try that nothing worked.then the dreaded words you have got to take it to the store to be tested. I went to the store and what a pleasant surprise, everything has changed and you can get in and out very fast now.
I got in fast but after checking the phone and saying your phone is no good we are going to have to give you a new one. they couldn't find where I had purchased the new phone in the system,I was dealing with a trainee. I had to drive all the way back home for the papers, I was not a happy camper and had to remind myself that good christian girls don't think words like that.
I went back, put some soothing music on the radio, got my new pink phone and bought every available accessory to go with it. I feel much better now.
"Slow Dance"
Have you ever watched kids on a merry-go-round
Or listened to rain slapping on the ground?
Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight
Or gazed at the sun fading into the night?
You better slow down, don't dance so fast,
Time is short, the music won't last.Do you run through each day on the fly?
When you ask, "How are you?" do you hear the reply?
When the day is done, do you lie in your bed
With the next hundred chores running through your head?
You better slow down, don't dance so fast,
Time is short, the music won't last.Ever told your child, "We'll do it tomorrow,"
And in your haste not seen his sorrow?
Ever lost touch, let a good friendship die,
`Cause you never had time to call and say hi?
You better slow down, don't dance so fast,
Time is short, the music won`t last. When you run so fast to get somewhere,
You miss half the fun of getting there.
When you worry and hurry through your day,
It's like an unopened gift thrown away.
Life is not a race, so take it slower,
Hear the music before your song is over.Poem by David L. Weatherford
"Get paid to Gossip"
Gossip is worth a lot of money these days. The Enquirer along with other gossip magazines want to be the first one the story, picture or video. The bigger the story, determines how much you are paid. This is just one ad.
How much is my story worth?
A big exclusive used on the front page could be worth thousands of pounds, but a smaller story will be worth less.
The only way to find out how much YOU could make is to call us now.
But remember - don't tell another newspaper.
Your story is worth much more if you only tell The Sun.
What happens when I tell you my story?
A reporter will call you to check the facts and arrange a meeting, if necessary.
They may bring a contract which obliges us to pay you when your story is published.
When will I get paid?
You will get your money by cheque or paid direct to your bank within a few weeks of your story appearing in the paper.
In very exceptional circumstances we may be able to make a payment to charity or pay you in cash.
Can I sell pictures too?
Yes, exclusive pictures are worth big cash to you. And if you have pictures to back up your story, it may be worth more.
What kind of stories is The Sun looking for?
Anything you can see being published in the paper. From celebrity exclusives to medical miracles to cheating politicians, we want your stories on them all.
We also love heart-warming real stories about our amazing readers, so if you've triumphed over tragedy, give us a call.
Can I remain anonymous?
Of course, and we always protect our sources. However, if the story involves you directly, it may be worth more to you if you are named and pictured.
Call 0207 782 4100 in confidence and we can discuss all your options.
Will I get more from another paper?
No. The Sun is the biggest and the best. And we look after our contacts, unlike our grubby "rivals".

"Heaven"
My friend sent me this today:
I dreamt that I went to Heaven and an angel was showing me around. We walked side-by-side inside a large workroom filled with angels.
My angel guide stopped in front of the first section and said, "This is the Receiving Section. Here, all petitions to God said in prayer are received."
I looked around in this area, and it was terribly busy with so many angels sorting out petitions written on voluminous paper sheets and scraps from people all over the world.
Then we moved on down a long corridor until we reached the second section.
The angel then said to me, "This is the Packaging and Delivery Section. Here, the graces and blessings the people asked for are processed and delivered to the living persons who asked for them."
I noticed again how busy it was there. There were many angels working hard at that station, since so many blessings had been requested and were being packaged for delivery to Earth.
Finally at the farthest end of the long corridor we stopped at the door of a very small station. To my great surprise, only one angel was seated there, idly doing nothing. "This is the Acknowledgment Section," my angel friend quietly admitted to me. He seemed embarrassed "How is it that there's no work going on here?" I asked.
"So sad," the angel sighed. "After people receive the blessings that they asked for, very few send back acknowledgments.
"How does one acknowledge God's blessings?" I asked.
"Simple," the angel answered. "Just say, "Thank you, Lord."
"What blessings should they acknowledge?" I asked.
"If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep you are richer than 75% of this world. "If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish, you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy.
"And if you get this on your own computer, you are part of the 1% in the world who has that opportunity."
Also .... "If you woke up this morning with more health than illness, you are more blessed than the many who will not even survive this day.
"If you have never experienced the fear in battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation, you are ahead of 700 million people in the world.
"If you can attend a church meeting without the fear of harassment, arrest, torture or death, you are envied by, and more blessed than, three billion people in the world.
"If your parents are still alive and still married, you are very rare.
If you can hold your head up and smile, you are not the norm, you are unique to all those in doubt and despair."
Ok, what now? How can I start?
If you can read this message, you just received a double blessing in that someone was thinking of you as very special and you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world who cannot read at all.
Have a good day, count your blessings, and if you want, pass this along to remind everyone else how blessed we all are.
Attn: Acknowledge Dept.: Thank You Lord!

"The Facts Of Hunger"
HUNGER: DO YOU KNOW THE FACTS?
It is estimated that one billion people in the world suffer from hunger and malnutrition. That's roughly 100 times as many as those who actually die from these causes each year.
About 24,000 people die every day from hunger or hunger-related causes. This is down from 35,000 ten years ago, and 41,000 twenty years ago. Three-fourths of the deaths are children under the age of five.
Famine and wars cause about 10% of hunger deaths, although these tend to be the ones you hear about most often. The majority of hunger deaths are caused by chronic malnutrition. Families facing extreme poverty are simply unable to get enough food to eat.
In 1999, a year marked by good economic news, 31 million Americans were food insecure, meaning they were either hungry or unsure of where their next meal would come from. Of these Americans, 12 million were children. The Hunger Site began on June 1, 1999.
Please remember to click every day to give help and hope to those with nowhere to turn. Every click counts in the life of a hungry person
How safe is your water?
Bottled water, I drink it, everyone seems to be drinking it. Are we drinking it because it is better for us, or is it just convenient. I have filtered water at home and it taste good and I feel that it is safe to drink. On the other hand my husband who doesn't like to drink water has gotten addicted to the flavored water that walmart sells, so is helping to make them richer. I did some research on bottled water, these are the results.
Americans drank more than 7.3 billion gallons of bottled water in 2005, according to the Beverage Marketing Corp. That’s more than 24 gallons per person per year, placing bottled water second only to carbonated soft drinks as the most consumed beverage.
Is bottled water safer than tap water?
Not necessarily.
“Tap water is far better regulated and treated than bottled water. You are entirely in the hands of the manufacturer when you drink bottled water,” says Tim Ford, a microbiology professor at Montana State.
Is bottled water from better sources, and does it have better treatment?
Oftentimes yes, says James M. Symons, aka Dr. Water, but the risk level of tap water is trivial.
Is bottled water regulated?
In the United States, bottled water is regulated by the Food and Drug Administration, which adapts the guidelines set by the Environmental Protection Agency. The EPA performs extensive testing of municipal water supply, but bottled water rarely undergoes testing.
Bottled-water regulations have become more stringent. You can view the guide to regulations on the International Bottled Water Association Web site (www.bottledwater.org). The association has set standards equal to those of the EPA; previous standards were lower.
Where does bottled water come from?
Some bottled water really does come from springs, but as much as 25 percent of expensive water is just filtered tap water. Anything marked “purified” or “drinking water” probably is pulled straight from the tap.
Check out the labels for clues about the source of your bottled water. The FDA doesn’t regulate such terms as “glacial” or “crystalline,&rdquo ; but it does regulate “spring,” “artesian” and “mineral water.
With the amazing amount of money spent on bottled water, it was just a matter of time before someone came up with the idea of bottled water for your dog, enter the K-9 co.

Its true, I won't even bother to give you the prices, but if you have a pampered pooch that may want some bottled toilet water, you know where to look.
"I Had To Call 911"
How strange is it to write about domestic violence and it happens right next door and I am the one that has to call 911. I went to church tonite for a wedding rehersal. When I got back home and started up the walkway,I heard someone asking for help and saying please let me use your phone, not loud or anything but just enough to get my attention. With it being dark and a hedge separating us, I stopped and walked over to see because I thought I was hearing things. It was my next door neighbors in the dark and the wife was asking for help. I really don't know these people very well except for waving hello. I acted all brave and went and got her by the arm and told him that I was going to call the police so he backed off. I dialed 911 and told them that I was calling about domestic abuse for my neighbor. she was crying pretty hard but I gave her the phone.
Two police cars were there in minutes and next thing I know cars were pulling up from every where, his family who spoke very little English, her family came, the neighbors standing outside, then the field detectives van comes out to take pictures of the bruises. she didn't want to go in her house because they have 6 little kids, so they brought her in my house to take the pictures. She was crying because she did not want him to go to jail but Ca. law states for abuse they had to take him.He can be bailed out in 10 hrs.she was worrying about what was his family going to think of her and that he was not a bad guy. the usual thing. He had torn the phone from their wall so that she could not call the police.I am just glad that I happened to come home when I did. Its quiet now and I feel like I need a drink.
October Is Domestic Violence Awareness Month
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month:Domestic violence awareness month is recognized across the United States. It was first celebrated in Oct.1981.Its intent is to connect battered women groups that work to end violence against women.
Domestic violence is any kind of behavior that a person uses to control an intimate partner through fear and intimidation. It includes physical, sexual, psychological, verbal, and economic abuse. Some examples of domestic abuse include battering, name-calling and insults, threats to kill or harm one's partner or children, destruction of property, marital rape, and forced sterilization or abortion.8
Violence against women in the home has serious repercussions for children. Over 50 percent of men who abuse their wives also beat their children.6 Children who grow up in violent homes are more likely to develop alcohol and drug addictions and to become abusers themselves.7 The stage is set for a cycle of violence that may continue from generation to generation.
Domestic violence is often shrouded in silence. People outside the family hesitate to interfere, even when they suspect abuse is occurring. Many times even extended family denies that abuse exists, out of loyalty to the abuser and in order to protect the image of the family. Some people still argue—mistakenly&md ash;that intervention by outside sources endangers the sanctity of the home. Yet abuse and assault are no less serious when they occur within a family. Even when domestic violence is reported, sometimes there are failures to protect victims adequately or to punish perpetrators.
Abusive men come from all economic classes, races, religions, and occupations. The batterer may be a "good provider" and a respected member of his church and community. While there is no one type, men who abuse share some common characteristics. They tend to be extremely jealous, possessive, and easily angered. A man may fly into a rage because his spouse called her mother too often or because she didn't take the car in for servicing. Many try to isolate their partners by limiting their contact with family and friends.
Women stay with men who abuse them primarily out of fear. Some fear that they will lose their children. Many believe that they cannot support themselves, much less their children.
Some battered women run a high risk of being killed when they leave their abuser or seek help from the legal system. It is important to be honest with women about the risks involved. If a woman decides to leave, she needs to have a safety plan, including the names and phone numbers of shelters and programs. Some victims may choose to stay at this time because it seems safer. Ultimately, abused women must make their own decisions about staying or leaving.Following is a poem called When I cry for help.
In the beginning, I was young . . . he was handsome. He said I was beautiful, smart, worthy of love . . . made me feel that way. And so we were married, walking joyfully together down a church aisle, our union blessed by God.
Then came the angry words . . . the verbal tearing apart. . . . Now I was made to feel ugly, unintelligent, unworthy of any love, God's or man's.
Next came the beatings . . . unrelenting violence . . . unceasing pain. I shouldn't stay, but this is my husband . . . promised forever. He says I deserve it . . . maybe I do . . . if I could just be good. I feel so alone . . . doesn't God hear me when I cry out silently as I lie in bed each night?
Finally came the release, the realization. It's not me . . . it's him. . . . I am worthy of love, God's and man's. One spring morning, my heart was filled with hope and with fear now only of starting over on my own. And so again I walked . . . down the hallway of our apartment building . . . never again to be silent . . . never again to live with that kind of violence, to suffer that kind of pain.

Spinach & Illegal Aliens
Three people have died from eating fresh spinach.two elderly women and one two year old boy.Add to that 190 people have been infected this year. This is serious stuff. I received and email from a friend and asked to pass it on, a must read.
------------------- ------------------------- ------------------------- -----
SPINACH SALAD ANYONE? By Frosty Wooldridge September 21, 2006
NewsWithViews.com
In the 60s, Popeye the Sailor Man guzzled spinach from a can in order to
battle the bad guys. He became an icon of good health for those who ate
vegetables and exercised.
As of this week across America , you don't want to eat spinach nor any
vegetables grown and picked by America 's newest slave class. Restaurants
called for a ban on serving spinach salads. I'll bet most Americans shy
away from lettuce, cabbage and other leafy vegetables in the coming weeks.
They're all grown and harvested under the same conditions and same people.
Why? As of Wednesday, 146 citizens in 23 states suffered E-Coli infection
and one died.
How do you think this disease outbreak occurred?
To bring it into sobering focus, please understand that 20 million illegal
aliens crossed into America in the past 20 years without any kind of
health screening. They work picking our food, washing our dishes in restaurants
and, as is the norm in Third World countries, rarely if ever wash their
hands after using the toilet. Additionally, most of them suffer functional illiteracy. They do not practice personal hygiene or health habits most Americans assume as a normal aspect of living.
While on my 21st Century Paul Revere Ride this summer through 48 states, I
saw thousands of illegal aliens working in fields the length of California .
I rode through Salinas Valley where illegals cultivated crops. I noticed
porta-potties sometimes and none at other times. I never saw hand washing
facilities.
Pause for a moment, and consider cleanliness habits of Third World people
with a fifth grade education. Why does disease affect millions in the
Third Wo rld ? What happens when millions migrate illegally to our country? Might
dozens or more do their morning constitutional amongst the crops for lack
of a porta-potty? Might the contamination be spread across the fields by the
common practice of flood irrigation? Would flooding spread the contaminat ion further? You never hear the major TV networks address or experts talk about this aspect of the contamination of our foods. It's a cover-up, plain and simple. They only report it when it breaks out beyond their ability to squelch it. Remember Chi Chi's Restaurants in Pennsylvani a that killed several customers because the work staff suffered hepatitis infe ctions? Remember the Center for Disease Control stating they thought the&nb sp;source originated in Mexican fields irrigated with sewage water?
Have you heard about the latest multi drug resistant tuberculosis o utbreaks
in Philadelphia , Atlanta and near Cleveland this summer? We've imported
at least 16,000 cases of TB in the past five years according to latest reports .
Before that, TB was virtually extinct in America.
Tuberculosis kills 2,000,000 people world wide annually. Where? In the
Third Wo rld ! Why? Illiteracy, contaminated water, limited food and lack of
hospital care! We've imported 7,000 cases of leprosy in the past three years. It's endemic to the northeast of the United States for the first time&nbs p;ever. Have you heard about it by the major networks? Not a chance!
In an April 25, 2004 front page story of the Santa Barbara News Press,
Anatomy of an Outbreak, one illegal alien infected 56 others with tuberculosis. After he avoided police for months, they finally captured him&n bsp;and placed him in quarantine. In September, 2005, a school child in Fort Morgan , Colorado contracted tuberculosis while attending school. How? An illegal alien student suffered from the disease, but was not screened befor e attending school. Our national media silences these outbreaks.
Do you see a pattern here? It's called Third World Momentum. All the
consequences affecting the Third World now manifest in our country. As
millions of illegals import themselves into the United States , they bring
diseases. They rarely change their sanitation habits or lack thereof.
They wor k in our meat and chicken processing plants at $6.00 an hour.Do you
think they bring any responsibility and pride to their work? As more corrupt
CEOs bribe health inspectors and OSHA officials, our food sources suffer degraded standards.
Illegal aliens by the millions work in our restaurants. Last spring, a reader of this column from New York City reported, Our manager last night ran cursing out the back door of the restaurant with a hand towel box in his ha nd.illegals had been using the toilet and threw their used toilet paper into the box because that's what they do in Mexico because sewage systems can't take tissue paper. The illegals had been throwing their used toilet paper into the hand towel box! I traveled through Mexico and saw it
myself. This story represents the tip of an ugly disease epidemic growing in
America .
As a nation, what we're facing is like a 50 car pile up on a foggy morning
on an expressway in Pennsylvania . Everyone speeding into the blinding fog
bank begins slowing down too late. Someone brakes hard when another car
slows down abruptly. The cars behind can't stop; the chain reaction pile- up
begins.
Doesn't anyone see what's happening to America ? Apparently not!
Sixty-two of your 100 senators voted S.B. 2611. That bill assures our growth by 100
million in the next 34 years. However, that's 100 million people mostly
from Third World countries. That ensures pockets of poverty and disease already
ravaging millions in those countries to be transplanted into America .
For all Americans, this E-Coli outbreak stands as a harbinger of things to
come. When you degrade health standards, hire illegal aliens carrying multiple of diseases or disease provoking habits, you've got a national crisis in the making.
Ironically, even our U.S. Senators stand at risk as well as their families .
Even if they live in gated communities, at some point in time, with these
illegal aliens invading every nook and cranny of our society everyone
becomes vulnerable to disease, terror, death and fraud wrought by this
invasion.
With this E-Coli outbreak, even Popeye may find himself headed for the
emergency room. However, he'll be forced to wait in line behind countless

Flowers are for Happy and Sad Times.
Going through a busy time right now. working on flowers for the Breast cancer awareness luncheon this weekend.I also had to do flowers for the funeral of a young man that died of cancer at the age of 33, very sad. His aunt called from Canada to place the order as they were unable to attend the service's. He was a very popular young man from reading his obituary in the paper. I made two large beautiful designs for him, I hope that they will bring some comfort to his family. I also had death in the family, my husbands aunt died so we will have to go out of town for that. They know that I am a florist so they asked would I bring a casket spray, the nerve of some people. I don't mind though as I remember her as a very sweet old lady that always had her little dog sitting at her feet.I still hate going to funerals though.
Lousy Contract Offer
An acquaintance approached me and told me that the company that she works for was in need of a permanent florist, was I interested, of course I was, I didn't know it but she is manager of a very well known shipping company. I am not allowed to say the name. I was told that they had restrictions on what was spent. I received the contract from the co. the next day. I was very surprised at what was offered. It covered all employees and their immediate family which is good,if it was local and within a certain radius but $50.00 for flowers, and that is supposed to cover tax and delivery. They would pay a maximum of $100.00 for funerals, that is good also if local but I spoke to the woman in charge and she said our people are scattered all over and most of them are not in my area and some flowers would need to be wired out of state, you can't imagine what some florist are charging,The minimun order is $35.00. I still heaven't answered them yet and I really appreciate this lady recommending me but in the end, I think I would be taking to much of a loss. A giant company like that offering peanuts.
"I Fell for A Scam"
I did a stupid thing and fell for a scam, I Was suspicious but didn't get confirmation until today. I had a representative from yellow pages to come and give me a quote for my business. I decided after speaking with him that I would wait to do the advertising because I did not want the extra expense added to my phone bill monthly.
About three months later I received a letter from yellow pages offering me a deal to do and enhanced Internet listing for $177.00 for the year. That appealed to me so I mailed them a check. It was about three months before I heard from them and they were calling to make sure all of my information was up to date, after that I was transferred to another person and told that they were going to ask some questions and please don't interrupt said okay unless it was something I didn't agree to.It went well untill she said you agree to pay $45.00 monthly, I said No,hold on I sent you a check for 177. and you are not getting a penny more, she got very upset, said you interrup me now I have to start again, I told her to forget it and hung up. I have received several calls from them since. I don't even answer the phone. Its a 3 digit number so I know that it is a foreign number.
I checked this co. out on the Internet and it was not the yellow pages that I thought it was, it was a fake co. called yellow pages inc.. I found the site on the Internet today about the fake yellow page co. that have bilked countless businesses out of millions. They have a lawsuit against this same company that I can add my name too, but I am not going to do it.Another hard lesson learned
Dirty Rotten Scoundrel
I received a very disturbing call yesterday from a friend of mine. Her husband of 10 years forged her name to divorce papers and remarried, he and his new bride has since moved to Hawaii. He is in the marines.I am just in shock. when they left here five years ago, they were a happy married couple with three small children. I knew that they were having problem's as she would call from time to time and say He had started running around with other women, and that he had changed completely. They had started divorce poceedings, because he had left home and moved in with the other woman. The last I heard he was telling her that he was so confused and was thinking about moving back home. I guess the confusion passed, because he went and did this.He was paying the mortgage on the house and she found out that the mortgage has not been paid in two months. I told her to go to navy relief for some kind of assistance, as she is having it very hard both mentally and financially. What do you call a man that would do such a terrible thing. I think he is a real dirty rotten scoundrel and I ask you all to keep her in your prayers and others good thoughts.
