Friendship Is The Golden Thread
Someone asked me once about people online.
Don't I find it silly to call them friends of mine?
I pondered the thought for a little while
and slung 'em a story with a huge smile.
I wake up in the morning, I'll tell you what I do.
I race to my computer to check my mail, it's perfectly true!
I open each and everyone and reply with tender care;
maybe just a a line or two to let them know I'm there!
I have seen strange things, been so many places,
have even seen a few of their online faces!
It doesn’ t matter beans to me that they are far away.
Meeting' them has surely brightened up my day!
We've shared a morning coffee and at times we've shed a tear.
We've been there for each other; even played cards and drank a beer!
They are just as real to me as you are standing there.
They are always here for me with lots of love and care.
One thing online has taught me; something I'll never forget.
There's a lot of great people out there on the net!
How can you be friends with someone you've never met?
I'll smile and tell them, "You've never been online I bet!"
So you can find me silly if that's what ya wanna do,
but I care for them every bit as much as I care for you!
I just want all you..my wonderful friends here at tblog to know how much I love you all and care about you.I also am blessed to know how much some of you care about me.

Arrested For A late Book
I was very shocked to read about the woman that was actually arrested for keeping a library book to long. She has only had the book since April. I think it's appaling that they would have her arrested. I have kept books longer then that.
They are going to charge a late fee anyway.
Don't Put It Off
Too many people put off something that brings them joy just because they haven't thought about it, don't have it on their schedule, didn't know it was coming or are too rigid to depart from their routine. I got to thinking one day about all those women on the Titanic who passed up dessert at dinner that fateful night in an effort to cut back. From then on, I've tried to be a little more flexible. How many women out there will eat at home because their husband didn't suggest going out to dinner until after something had been thawed? Does the word 'refrigeration' mean nothing to you? How often have your kids dropped in to talk and sat in silence while you watched 'Jeopardy' on television? I cannot count the times I called my sister and said, 'How about going to lunch in a half hour?' She would gas up and stammer, 'I can't. I have clothes on the line. My hair is dirty. I wish I had known yesterday, I had a late breakfast, It looks like rain.' And my personal favorite: 'It's Monday.' She died a few years ago. We never did have lunch together. Because Americans cram so much into their lives, they tend to schedule their headaches. We live on a sparse diet of promises we make to ourselves when all the conditions are perfect! We'll go back and visit the grandparents when we get Steve toilet-trained. We'll entertain when we replace the living-room carpet... We'll go on a second honeymoon when we get two more kids out of college. Life has a way of accelerating as we get older. The days get shorter, and the list of promises to ourselves gets longer. One morning, we awaken, and all we have to show for our lives are a litany of 'I'm going to,' 'I'll let you know,' 'I plan on,' and 'Someday, when things are settled down a bit.' When anyone calls my 'seize the moment' friend, she is open to adventure and available for trips. She keeps an open mind on new ideas. Her enthusiasm for life is contagious. You talk with her for five minutes, and you're ready to trade your bad feet for a pair of Roller blades and skip an elevator for a bungee cord.. My lips have not touched ice cream in 10 years. "Cutting Is A Cry For Help"
I don't know the answer but they must be in bad place emotionally.
I was reading a blog today that really got my attention. This woman
admitted that she started cutting herself when she was in her teens.
She is married now and hasn't cut in a long time, but she was going
through such a difficult time in her life now that the only way that she
could relieve the stress was to cut her inner thighs with a razor blade.
The thought of this makes me sick because I think of the pain when
I accidentally cut myself
When people cut, they often do it in a place that can be hidden and they
wear long sleeves to hide the scars.
It is usually done by girls between 13-15 years old but boys also cut.
The information that I found on explaining the reason why:
Cutting helps people to handle intense feelings of pressure when upset.
The brain releases endorphins when the body is cut. These endorphins provide pain relief and a sense of well-being, thus relieving psychological pain.
Because of the release of endorphins, cutting can become a compulsive behavior. The next time emotions are at a high, the brain craves the relief that the endorphins provide.
People who cut themselves sometimes also suffer from other mental health issues such as bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder and depression,
Many teens who cut themselves tend to be very good at hiding their self-injury. They may wear long sleeves to hide scars, explain away any cuts that are observed or even share tips on how to hide their self-injury, such as this example from 43 Things.
The person who cuts is in pain and need mental health help as soon as possible.
So if you have a teen wearing long sleeves in very hot weather they may be a cutter and need help.

I went to an Estate Sale today. An estate sale is when they sell the personal property of someone after they have passed.
I was really on my way to the shop but things are slow and it is hard for me to pass up a bargain, plus I am always on the lookout for antiques and books.
Needless to say a found quite a few books and the person that passed loved Frank Sinatra, loads of old LP'S.I ended up buying one old Elvis album.
It was odd though going through the different rooms in the house and seeing family portraits and people picking through things.I started thinking that this could be me, I really wouldn't want anyone other then family going through my things.
I left thinking that I really need to get my stuff together and tie up loose ends.

Prayer Needed
I am at a loss when it comes to trying to figure out what happens to couples that seemed to have been in a happy marriage for years and then news of yet another divorce.
I received an email yesterday from a close friend that her husband just walked in one day and told her that he no longer loved her and presented her with divorce papers.
Needless to say she is in shock, she knew that they were having some problems but nothing serious. The painful part she says is that he does not want to go for counseling, he just wants his freedom. She knows that there is another woman involved because she went through this with him once before.
She is asking for prayer because she apparently didn't answer the divorce decree in time and now have to go for a trial. I don't understand the whole thing but I am just trying to be here for her. I would like for you all to pray for her or think good thoughts or something.
What bothers me is this man is the Pastor of a church and has counseled other married couples and he can do this. the bad part is that I have seen this to much lately, that our so called leaders are not taking their own advice.

Visine In Tea Can Be Deadly
Just when I think I have heard it all, I read about the woman that
wanted to kill her husband. She did her research first and found
that Visine eye drops is poisonous so she spiked his tea with it.
He was having terrible stomach pains but it didn't kill him. The
police arrested her because she told someone else about what she
was doing.
She is now sitting in jail. Why didn't she just leave him if she
was so unhappy? probably wanted the insurance money.
The poison control center says ingesting visine will cause you to
go into a coma among other serious things.

Global Warming Causes Kidney Stones
I have heard of Global warming being the cause of many things but recently found that it is also the supposed cause of kidney stones as global warming raises the risk of dehydration.
Dehydration is linked to the condition, which can develop when people don't drink enough water to flush stone-forming salts from the body. Higher temperatures may lead to more dehydration and expand the ``kidney stone belt,'' an area of the Southeast U.S. where men are twice as likely to develop the disease compared with the Northeast, according to the study.
I have never suffereed from kidney stones, but heard that it can be very painful.

Update
There was an accident yesterday involving a young woman that was killed in a terrible car accident. The other car involved in the accident took off and with the woman dying in the stret another car stopped but not to help but to steal the womans purse.
What is the world coming to, there seems to just be no regard for human life. I know that everyone is not bad and that there are still a lot of loving caring people out there but you read about so much bad stuff, it makes you wonder.
A friends mother had a stroke last year while grocery shopping and someone stole her purse before they were able to transport her to the hospital.
It was a week of frantic searching for her mother because she was unable to speak and all of her Identification was stolen,so the hospital didn't know who to call.Thank God they finally found her sick but alive.
I would like to add an update on the young woman that was killed in the accident, she was six mths. pregnant which was a double tragedy.
The good news was that they caught the couple that stole her purse, the boyfriend slowed down so that his girlfriend could jump out and steal her purse, unbelievable.
Flu Time
I have been home sick with the flu all day, aching with a fever and not able to do anything. Thank God for a sweet husband that has taken very good care of me. You can realize how blessed you are when you are in bed notfeeling like lifting a finger and not having to worry about the house or the kids because he has it all taken care of.
Looking forward to better days ahead.
