I ask this question after reading about the man that hated his Ex wife so much that he cut his finger off with  the ring still on it and presented it to her, what a cruel thing to do. You have to think that at one time they had to love each other. I couldn't help but wonder, what happens in a marriage that causes Love to turn into Hate?

He said it was his way of breaking free of her and that he would never marry again.He was charged with assault and Harassment. He stated that he has no regrets and could function fine without the finger.
