Just Plain Wrong
05.16.09 (1:22 am) [edit]
We have all heard the expression "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned". Well this apparently also apply to men.
A man in Cape Girardeau Mo. was so bitter over the breakup with his wife that he decided to air some dirty laundry. He gained access to his ex-wifes e-mail without her consent.
He then e-mailed her family a link to a web site with a message something nice to see.
The link took them to a web site that contained several pornographic pictures taken of her when they were married how dirty can a person be, imagine her embarrasment.
He was sentenced to 20 days in jail for misdemeanor tampering.
I think he should have gotten more then 20 days.

Totally agree. I think we all have a right to privacy even after a breakup/divorce. I hate it when people get a divorce or breakup and then go tell their friends all the things that they did as a couple. Some high profile people even write books. Disgusting!

The same goes for crime scene pictures that get leaked from a worker by email and end up on the net. How unprofessional of a worker to violate the privacy of victims. In some cases, families have sued police departments and won.
The Michael Phelps bong picture is a good example -- someone taking the shot, and posting it without his knowledge or permission till it showed up and some explaining and PR had to be instituted. However, look at all the trouble Michael ended up with (police, court, charges, trial) and loss of some brand contracts. All because of one person's selfishness and stupidity to go public -- I think he got in trouble too.

Reply to: skumora,
It is very disgusting, some people will go to any length to hurt the person that they are supposed to have loved at one time.

Reply to: inkspector,
They should get in a lot of trouble ink, but the lure of big bucks will cause some people to do anything.
The gossip magazines offer big money for a picture or story of a celebrity.

Sad that there is so much moral decay and lack of respect all over these days.
The internet, if not used wisely, helps promote such behavior.
I think we will be seeing a whole new set of laws down the road dealing with such issues.

Oh, I can definitely relate to that woman's embarrassment. At least it happened in this day in age where the ex-husband was able to be charged!
10 years ago, she would have been asked to prove that he did all that stuff!
